Design Region Bergen (DRB) is dedicated to making the city of Bergen and the surrounding region an internationally recognized Nordic leader within design-driven business, industrial and societal development.
By providing information, inspiring and facilitating cooperation, DRB aims to become a driving force within design in bringing people, groups and organizations together to create new, innovative design solutions.
Our Success Criteria and Roles:
Inspire and Motivate
DRB raises awareness, creates opportunities and communicates the benefits of applying the professional use of design to any business, large or small.
Knowledge Transfer and Raising Competence
DRB works to facilitate a consistent high-level of knowledge within the "Design Community", as well as communicating to governmental, educational institutions and business the advantages of strategic and practical use of design in strengthening development.
A "Venue of Communication" for the Design Community
DRB builds common grounds and arenas for designers, businesses, education and government where relations are established, developed and strengthened.
Initiate and Manage Projects
DRB communicates and promotes design through a range of projects, implementing these projects within areas that are strategically important in reaching our goals and providing added-value to our membership.
